So, what’s been going on? Loads of stuff I guess, which means I hardly ever type anything for this blog.
Tates getting bigger every day. He’s still smiling (and still alive, so meeting the base parenting requirement), and seems to be about to fly head first into his next batch of clothes (6 months +). He learned how to turn over last week (from front to back and back to front within a few days of each other), so it’s only a matter of time before he throws himself off the couch or bed to the horror of his parents. Considering putting gym mats in place of carpets throughout the house….
I managed to survive both the classroom and on-track courses to become a high performance driving instructor for the local BMW Car Club. This now means that I have the benefit of putting my life in the hands of complete novices as we blast around the track at over 100mph. The role play part on track was pretty fun (and stressful) although my instructor didn’t drive straight off the track like one of the other ones did (although she did decide sideways, one handed, screaming yahoo was an appropriate way to get round some corners - we disagreed and I made her pit the car until we had a little chat).
We’ve finally booked tickets to head back to England. Been way too long (two years!!) so looking forward to a decent pie, some fish and chips and hanging out with the family and friends.
