I realize the AppleTV gets a bit of a hard time in the press, but I use mine (I’ve got two) loads, especially at the weekends. I don’t really bother much with the TV and movie bit - music and photos to the two main tvs in the house is what I need, and it works great.

I guess one of the final symbolic changes to the North East landscape was the disappearance of the Swan Hunter cranes from the skyline. When I was a kid, a decent percentage of people in Newcastle worked in the shipyards (my Grandad worked there for a while - long enough to be subject to asbestos which ultimately killed him, and my Dad had an apprenticeship there until he was called back to help...
